‘Shit I Found Diving’ is a community television series on Northwestel Community TV that was created by Jeremy MacDonald the owner of Yellowknife Divers Inc. This show follows Jeremy and his friends on diving adventures throughout the North to find hidden treasures, recover lost items, and uncover stories that are tied to the beautiful waters of the North.
Jeremy and Claire are excellent instructors. Jeremy takes the time to get to know your strengths and weaknesses as a person and as a diver. He strikes a masterful balance between teaching his students quickly and teaching his students thoroughly. Your time with him will be well spent, purposeful, and everything will be a learning experience. And not only that, it will be lots of fun! Jeremy knows pretty well everybody in yellowknife and his enthusiasm is unflappable and infectious. I’d highly recommend his course – go for it and become a SCUBA diver- you won’t regret it!

Jeremy was extremely professional and organized. Prior to entering the pool, he went over all logistics and theory clearly. He repeated important concepts several times and never moved on to the next step until everyone in the group was ready. I always felt like I was in good hands, and while doing exercises in the pool I felt confident in Jeremy’s diving skills and knowledge. His passion is palpable and evident in the care he puts into this course. By the end of the course I felt confident in what I had been taught. I am so glad I decided to do this course, and excited to pursue open water diving!
